Julie Edwards is a senior majoring in both Psychology and Gender Studies here at the University of Tennessee. She aspires to be a clinical sexologist and successful spinster with ten dogs. When she’s not plotting the next sexual revolution, Julie is daydreaming about all the places she hopes to visit or rewatching Bob’s Burgers for the millionth time. Her hobbies typically include showing unwavering support for Amy Winehouse and chai tea, watching an excessive amount of makeup tutorials on YouTube, and sleeping her life away.

Patrick is a third-year Haslam Scholar studying Sociolinguistics through the College Scholars Program. His interests include modern foreign languages, identity, and linguistic subordination. On campus, he is involved in several organizations, including the UT Diversity Matters Coalition, the Student Linguistics Association, Pi Delta Phi (National French Honors Society), and Students for Bernie Sanders at UTK. While not watching Lemonade for the millionth time, Patrick can be found idolizing Lana Del Rey, swooning over Kristen Stewart, crying about Jessica Lange’s departure from AHS, and rethinking why he’s taking so many damn languages.

Geoffrey Hervey is a Senior Haslam Scholar at the University of Tennessee, studying psychology and sociology with a interest in criminology and criminal behavior. He plans to someday become either a criminal psychology researcher or a profiler for the FBI's Behavioral Science Unit, with a focus on crimes targeted towards minorities. He typically spends his time rectifying the plights of marginalized people, watching Shonda Rhimes save television, and being in awe of Beyoncé.

Kalina Blazanovic : Former Chief of Staff

Kalina is a current senior in the College Scholars program majoring in Peace Studies and Conflict Management. Her SEAT journey began long before her undergraduate career, as she sent a strongly worded letter to then senator Stacey Campfield regarding the defunding of Sex Week 2013. When not worrying about the future or correcting people on the pronunciation of her last name, Kalina is usually crying about the dogs she can't have, listening to Kanye West on repeat, or furiously writing her thesis.

Former General Board Member

Will is a Senior studying economics, urban studies, and public policy in the College Scholars Program. On campus, he also serves as the president of the Roosevelt Institute and SGA Director of Diversity Affairs. Will's currently perfecting how to divide his time between reading in coffee shops, staying up too late, and oversleeping. He's interested in a career in public policy, and is conducting his senior thesis on economic mobility in survival economies.

Sara Counts is a senior majoring in Sociology with an interest in criminology as well as a minor in Africana Studies. She one day hopes to work somewhere within the criminal justice system and revolutionize the way it interacts with marginalized communities. When not eating, Sara enjoys watching endless hours of Youtube and creating schedules she can’t stick to.

Elle is a fourth-year Haslam Scholar majoring in College Scholars with an emphasis on Interpersonal Health Communication.  She is also currently involved as a weekly opinion columnist for the Daily Beacon, and through her studies and future career, she hopes to one day cultivate more open and more educated conversations on difficult topics surrounding the health of women, children, and families.  Outside of SEAT, Elle can typically be found making post-it note murals, binge-watching Crazy Ex-Girlfriend on repeat, or daydreaming that she lives the beautiful life of Carly Rae Jepsen.

Sarah Emory is a Sophomore in the College of Arts and Sciences, and a new member Graphic Design Program. She enjoys writing, watching Star Trek, and debating about the future of the country. When not stressing over her never-ending pile of work, you can find her dreaming of someday being a designer at NASA, marrying Chris Pine, and possibly running for President of the United States. A senior, Sally Buice is studying environmental and soil science with a concentration in conservation agriculture and environmental sustainability. She enjoys playing the banjo, knitting, biking, hiking, backpacking, and making pies. Above all, Sally is passionate about SEAT, sex positivity, and sex inclusivity.

Alayna is a junior Haslam Scholar studying biochemistry and cellular and molecular biology. When she is not in the lab or hitting the books, she can be found cooking, playing piano, or reluctantly engaging in running culture. Alayna hopes to someday become an OB/GYN doctor where her life’s work will literally be vaginas.

Will Clifft is a fourth year Global Studies major with a focus in language and cultural studies. When not switching sporadically from one hobby to another, Will is most often found staring wistfully at the ridiculously overpriced frozen food section in Publix and humming Adele songs under his breath. His future plans consist solely of winning the United States’ Presidency in a dramatic, landslide victory before disappearing to a remote island in the South China Sea.

Keturah Harris is a junior studying Public Relations from Memphis, Tennessee. She is a brother in the professional business fraternity, Alpha Kappa Psi, campus agent for HBO, and a mentor in the Multicultural Mentoring Program. She enjoys reading, thrifting, and going to her faves' concerts.

Sara Gamble is a junior in Industrial Engineering with a minor in Business Administration. She has ambitions to become a successful engineer in New York City and travel on her off days. When she is not studying, she enjoys working out, wine tasting, Buffalo Wild Wings, and going to concerts with friends.

Elizabeth is a fourth-year Haslam Scholar from Jackson, TN majoring in Anthropology and Geography with a minor in Global Studies. She just returned from a semester in Copenhagen, Denmark where she studied sex work policies and policy impacts in Europe, and how to dress to bike to class in freezing rain. During her time working with SEAT and Sex Week, Elizabeth has learned a lot about consent, the WHO's definitions of sexual health, and the importance of lube.

Rachel is a senior at the University of Tennessee majoring in marketing with a collateral in International Business and a minor in German. She has an internship with the marketing department for UT athletics. In other words, she is the one that throws out t-shirts into the crowd. She loves going to concerts, traveling, and petting her cat, Zoe.

Brianna Rader is the co-founder of SEAT and Sex Week. She graduated from the Haslam Scholars Program with a BA in Medical Humanities (an interdisciplinary major in College Scholars) in 2014. She then obtained her MSc in Global Health at UC-San Francisco. Rader is now the CEO of Juicebox, INC, a sexual health startup in SF that allows teens and young adults to learn and socially engage around the topics of sex and relationships in a mobile app. Being condemned by the TN State Legislature has provided for a fun cocktail party story out in SF. Rader considers founding Sex Week her most meaningful commitment in college.

Jacob graduated from the College Scholars Program and went on to earn his MS in Business Analytics also at the University of Tennessee. He now works as an analyst in New York, though when he was growing up, his career aspirations included becoming a bus driver, Broadway choreographer, Olympic swimming official, actor, and baptist. He has since seen the light, and decided that money is more important than choreographing You Can't Stop The (motion of the ocean or the sun in the sky, you can wonder if you wanna, but I never ask why, and if you try to hold me down, I'm gonna spit in your eye and say that you cant stop the) Beat!

While at UT, Colleen double majored in global studies and sociology in the Haslam Scholars and Baker Scholars Programs. A Spring 2017 graduate, she is currently abroad on a Fulbright Postgraduate Award in York, England where she is earning her MA in Post-War Recovery Studies at the University of York before returning to the United States to study law at Indiana University Bloomington. While her academic interests remain in post-conflict transformation and rule of law, Colleen plans on staying involved in organizing around sexual violence prevention, reproductive justice, and diversity and inclusion at her future universities.

Nicky started the Biomedical Sciences Graduate Program at Penn State Hershey's College of Medicine. Because of her Sex Week experience, she hopes to focus future research on sexually transmitted viruses. To be honest, she misses being in a place where she can say "y'all" indiscriminately. She watches "The Office" more than is socially acceptable and probably laughs louder than is socially acceptable. If you're ever in Hershey, let's grab coffee/chocolate!

Bonnie Johnson graduated with a BA in anthropology. She is currently a Master of Social Work candidate at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. Working on the executive board for three Sex Weeks has inspired her to pursue social policy reform and advocacy after she receives her MSW. In her spare time she enjoys interior decorating, cooking, sunbathing, and destroying the patriarchy.

Blaire Hamilton double majored in American and Religious Studies, with minors in English and Women Studies. After undergrad, she enrolled at Emory University to study divinity and public health. She dreams the dream of one day working for a religiously based advocacy group-and more importantly, owning an English bulldog. She spends most of her days working with different religious liberal groups in the community, but in her free time she enjoys comic books, sniffing out(literally) the best of Goodwill, electronic music, singing show tunes loudly off key, and dancing with enthusiasm rather than any type of style or grace.

Chris hopes to one day master the skill of motivational speaking and help people around the world achieve greatness. He also hopes to be as cool as Morgan Freeman.

In his free time Travis can be found tumblring, cooking strange novelty dishes with his roommates, or posting his best friend Hillary's fantastic one-liners to every social media platform that exists. Travis also enjoys teas, the smell of eucalyptus oil, and the artworks of Gustav Klimt.
